Sergio Martínez (Madrid, Spain, 1981). Bachelor`s Degree in Direction and Scriptwriting by the TAI
School, he began his professional career as a television scriptwriter before he became a script and
acting teacher. Meanwhile, he wrote feature films scripts, selected in national and international events
(Ibermedia program). In 2013 he founded his own film production company Zerkalo Films, where he
works currently. His first short film, "Echoes" (2014), was selected in over 30 film festivals and
awarded with Best First Film Award in the Huesca International Film Festival. With his second short
film, “Corazón” (2016), was awarded as Best Film Award in the Madrid Short Film Week (Goya’s
Awards Pre-Selection) and Best Photography Award at the L'Alfàs del Pi Film Festival, besides being
officially selected in Guadalajara (Mexico), Zubroffka (Poland), Medina del Campo (Spain), etc.
"Vacío" (2017) is his new project and was premiered internationally in the 39th Moscow International
Film Festival (A List Festival).
