Veronica is a 6 year old girl who is trying to overcome her fear of the dark. Helped by her mum, she has managed to sleep with nearly all of her lights off. Nevertheless, she still goes to bed with her torch, which makes her feel safe and sound.
Every night, her mum gets her to sleep with the reading ot her favourite story. However, this time something is different...this time there is something in the darkness.

Fran Casanova was born in Tenerife in 1977. In 2001 he began his audiovisual studies in Madrid where he studied in different cinema schools widening his knowledge on the fields of directing, screenwriting and cinematography, amongst other disciplines. In his wide experience, he has worked in television, cinema, advertising, music videos and has tackled the field of teaching. Since 1999 until the present he has carried out more than 10 short films, proving to be a versatile director in different film genres. He has received economic support from the Spanish Government to film his last 3 short films. His latest short film, Hay algo en la oscuridad (2017), is being distributed at film festivals around the world. It has won 13 awards and has 51 official selections up to date. Highlighting its official selection at the Bermuda International Film Festival, the Oscar Awards qualifying festival. During 2015 and 2016 he worked as an assistant director for two Hollywood productions. Jason Bourne and Allied. In addition, he has worked on television as the director and screenwriter of the Making of the series Reinas (Descubriendo Reinas, 2017), broadcasted on TVE1. He is currently working on the script of his first feature film as well as different screenplays.
