JP O’Brien is director, writer and producer from Melbourne, Australia. He is passionate about film and the power of great stories. JP's 2017 film Ghost, screened at numerous Academy and BAFTA Accredited Film Festivals both in Australia and abroad, was nominated for Best International Narrative at the 2017 Kerry Film Festival (Ireland) and won Best Cinematography at the 2018 Yarra
Valley Film Festival. His short documentary Mars Calling, with over 60,000 views online, screened on The Project (Ch.10) and featured in The Guardian Australia.
JP has collaborated with some of Australia’s leading production companies, agencies and brands, including Cricket Australia, BMW Australia, Carat Australia, Fox Sports, GPY&R, McCann and ABC Splash. JP has an Advanced Diploma of SCREEN from RMIT University and has completed numerous studies at Sydney’s AFTRS. J.P currently resides in Ireland.
